MYIR’s Newest Compact Module for the Web of Issues Faucets the Renesas RZ/G2UL

Shenzhen-based embedded electronics agency Make Your Concept Actual (MYIR) has introduced a brand new system-on-module (SOM), the MYC-YG2UL CPU Module, which relies across the Renesas RZ/G2UL processor — providing an application-class core together with a real-time microcontroller core.

“This module appropriate for entry-class industrial gateway management and embedded gadgets with easy GUI [Graphical User Interface] capabilities akin to entry-level industrial HMI [Human-Machine Interface], medical gadgets, PLC [Programmable Logic Controller], charging pile, vitality storage system, and extra others,” MYIR says of its newest design.

The guts of the compact module is the Renesas RZ/G2UL, an industrial processor which features a single Linux-compatible Arm Cortex-A55 application-class core working at as much as 1GHz and a 200MHz Cortex-M33 companion core for microcontroller and different real-time workloads. There’s 512MB of DDR3L and 4GB of eMMC storage on the gadget as customary, although MYIR says these could be custom-made in response to venture necessities.

The module gives a variety of connectivity, beginning with two decreased gigabit media-independent interfaces (RGMII) for Ethernet, two USB 2.0 lanes, 5 SCIF, two SCI, two CAN FD, 4 I2C, and three SPI buses, an RGB LCD video output, one MIPI Digital camera Serial Interface, 4 Synchronous Serial Interfaces (SSIs), and as much as 82 general-purpose enter/output (GPIO) pins with two analog to digital convertors (ADCs) — although, MYIR warns, some alerts are shared, and never all buses and connections can be utilized concurrently.

For these on the lookout for a fast begin, the corporate has designed a reference service board for the module which gives two gigabit Ethernet ports, two USB 2.0 ports and a USB 2.0 On-The-Go (OTG) port, a CAN bus, the RGB LCD connection, RS232 and RS485 serial ports, the CSI connection, provides a Wi-Fi module with exterior antenna connection, and offers an M.2 slot for USB-based mobile modems with two on-board SIM card slots.

The corporate is promoting the MYC-YG2UL CPU Module with its default 512MB/4GB configuration on its official web site for $22, with quantity reductions out there; the MYD-YG2UL Growth Board is out there for $85, together with one MYC-YG2UL CPU Module.
